Key Responsibilities

Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam (LAN) is on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Civil Engineer to become a vital member of our Water District division. In the role of Engineer IV PE, you will be instrumental in overseeing and executing projects that pertain to water distribution networks, wastewater management systems, and stormwater drainage solutions. Your duties will encompass the entire project lifecycle, from the initial concept to the engineering support during the construction phase.   • Lead the management of projects from start to finish, which includes formulating design concepts, developing project plans, and ensuring project execution adheres to budgetary and scheduling constraints.
  • Independently coordinate the activities of engineers, designers, drafters, and sub-consultants throughout the project's duration to guarantee a seamless and effective workflow.
  • Build and sustain strong client relationships, participating in meetings as necessary.
  • Engage actively in various facets of project management, from marketing and contract development to design execution.
  • Assist in overseeing the financial components of assigned engineering projects, optimizing team efforts to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects and clients concurrently, showcasing your organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Employ computer-aided engineering and design tools to produce high-quality engineering and design documentation.
  • Complete project team quality system tasks as outlined in our Quality Assurance/Quality Control protocols, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor project advancement, ensuring adherence to contract specifications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Must be licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of water distribution, wastewater collection systems, layouts, and drainage systems.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
