As a Senior Water Resources Project Leader at System One, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our water and wastewater services division, catering to both public and private sector clients.

This role entails overseeing projects that focus on the enhancement of water and wastewater systems as well as the development of new infrastructure.

Your responsibilities will include the formulation of comprehensive plans for water and wastewater systems, drafting specifications, and preparing analytical and study-level reports for treatment, distribution, and collection systems. You will determine suitable design methodologies, equipment sizing, and selection, while collaborating closely with project stakeholders.

In this position, you will manage and direct ongoing projects, guide and mentor junior engineers to instill knowledge regarding design standards, facility layout, project integration, and regulatory compliance, and actively seek new project opportunities.

You will also have the chance to broaden your expertise and engage in networking and client development activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute projects related to water and wastewater utilities planning and stormwater management
- Lead project teams in creating bid-ready plans and specifications
- Possess a strong understanding of permitting requirements in Texas
- Execute design tasks on intricate water and wastewater projects
- Author Engineering Design Reports and Permit Applications
- Provide support during the Construction/Commissioning phase and routine facility operations
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control assessments on projects
- Pursue client management and business development opportunities

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Chemical Engineering
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) license in Texas
- Over 8 years of experience in water resources engineering
- Proven experience working with public sector clients and engineering firms, as well as water and wastewater treatment systems
- Familiarity with Wastewater treatment facilities, collection systems, lift stations, conveyance systems, water treatment plants, distribution systems, elevated storage tanks, ground storage tanks, and groundwater wells.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Exceptional project management, time management, and organizational skills with a comprehensive understanding of task assignment, scheduling, budgeting, and resource optimization
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information effectively through various mediums
- Capacity to address complex challenges using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.
