Your Role

As a Junior Civil Engineer, you will contribute to smaller-scale projects while collaborating on larger initiatives under the mentorship of experienced engineers. Your responsibilities will include evaluating and selecting appropriate systems or products for various projects. You will engage in diverse tasks, such as calculations, field assessments, and participating in project meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct civil engineering design tasks, which may involve creating engineering drawings, performing hydraulic calculations, and preparing reports for regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in the development of project documentation, including client presentations and communications regarding specific deliverables.
  • Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to understand project objectives, site evaluations, and key challenges.
  • Support the design process through sketches, electronic models, and diagrams to visualize project concepts.
  • Identify potential technical issues and initiate corrective measures as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure design compatibility.
  • Contribute to the creation of discipline-specific specifications tailored to project needs.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals, respond to inquiries, and assist in contract administration tasks.
  • Provide support during project oversight and construction phases, ensuring effective coordination and problem-solving.
  • Assist in the assessment and selection of civil engineering systems and materials.
  • Engage in value engineering and basic cost estimation processes.
