Patient Services Coordinator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Coordinator to join our team at St. Luke's Health Network. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, managing front desk operations, and supporting the Physical Therapy Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct phone calls in a timely and professional manner
- Update and maintain accurate patient records and filing systems
- Process patient registrations, scheduling, and insurance verifications
- Verify patient insurance benefits and process pre-certifications/authorizations
- Schedule appointments and maintain a full department schedule
- Communicate with the Department Manager regarding scheduling issues
- Receive and process payments, prepare receipts, and distribute mail to clinical staff
- Process requests for release of information in accordance with Medical Record Department policies
Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Access) and other PC software
- Three years of related office experience, preferably in a medical setting
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
- Sitting for up to eight hours per day
- Standing for up to eight hours per day
- Frequent fingering, handling, and firm grasping
- Frequent twisting and turning
- Frequent lifting, carrying, and pulling objects up to 50 lbs
- Frequent stooping, bending, crouching, and reaching above shoulder level
- Seeing and hearing as it relates to normal conversation and telephone use
Education and Training:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs
- Knowledge of growth and development and understanding of treatment needs
