Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at BayMark Health Services. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule intake appointments and verify patient information
  • Check in patients, escort them to and from the waiting room, and interview them to gather vital signs and medical history
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient intakes and as needed
  • Collect blood and non-blood specimens for laboratory testing
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and disinfect equipment and supplies
  • Act as a receptionist and perform secretarial duties, including preparing and maintaining reports and records
  • Triage and manage phone calls, messages, and other communications
  • File lab results and distribute them to healthcare providers
  • Attend staff meetings and in-service trainings
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum age requirement of 18
  • Medical Assistant certification or registration
  • Phlebotomy skills and CPR/BCLS certification
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and patient management software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to establish positive relationships with patients and demonstrate a non-judgmental attitude
  • 1-2 years of prior healthcare experience in a similar field and environment
