Job Summary

BayMark Health Services is seeking a highly organized and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Scheduling and Intake: Schedule intake appointments, record and verify patient information, and prepare medical records for new and returning patients.
  • Front Desk and Administrative Support: Check in patients, escort patients to and from the waiting room, and perform secretarial duties as needed.
  • Clinical Support: Assist Medical Director/Program Physician/Nurse Practitioner with patient intakes, obtain blood specimens and collect non-blood specimens for laboratory testing, and prepare treatment rooms for examination.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Provide excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrate a non-judgmental and accepting attitude toward the Substance Use Disorder population.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: High School Diploma or GED, Medical Assistant certification or registration, and CPR/BCLS certification.
  • Experience and Skills: 12 years prior healthcare experience in a similar field and environment, excellent written and verbal skills, and working knowledge of MS Office and patient management software.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to establish a positive rapport with patients, demonstrate a non-judgmental and accepting attitude toward the Substance Use Disorder population, and possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
