Enterprise Linux/Unix System Administrator

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Linux/Unix System Administrator to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of our enterprise infrastructure, ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Linux and Unix systems, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Design and implement secure infrastructure solutions, including authentication, authorization, and access control.
- Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize system efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems and applications.
- Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Linux/Unix system administration, with a strong focus on enterprise infrastructure.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain a higher clearance level as required.
- Experience with Linux architecture, deployment, administration, networking, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of security protocols, including Kerberos, LDAP, and Centrify.
- Experience with infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery, and business continuity products, such as Symantec NetBackup.
- Knowledge of HP server hardware support and diagnosis, storage hardware support and diagnosis, and automation via scripting.
- Experience with Splunk, Centrify, BASH Scripting, and Ansible.
- CompTIA Security+ certification or other industry-recognized certifications relevant to a Linux/Unix System Administrator.
