Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support a diverse IT environment that includes Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux systems.
- Utilize your knowledge of server internals, including DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory, to maintain system integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Implement data management strategies, including RAID configurations and backup solutions, to safeguard critical information.
- Work closely with cybersecurity teams to uphold security protocols and provide necessary documentation and training.
- Achieve Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements within the designated timeframe.
- Develop comprehensive solutions and documentation to address a variety of technical challenges.
- Be prepared to support systems that operate around the clock, occasionally requiring work beyond standard hours.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, coupled with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or a master's degree with at least 3 years of experience.
- An active U.S. government issued secret security clearance is mandatory.
- Proven experience with Linux systems is essential.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMWare vCenter and ESX is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible.
- Knowledge of data storage solutions, including NAS and SAN technologies.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks such as NISPOM and DoD/RMF.
- Basic experience with Windows systems is a plus.
