We are seeking a highly skilled Linux System Administrator to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and security of our Linux-based systems.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and maintain Linux systems, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure the security and integrity of our Linux systems, including hardening, monitoring, and incident response.
- Design and implement solutions for infrastructure backup, restore, and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Linux technologies and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance.
- Experience with Linux architecture, deployment, administration, networking, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with integrated AD authentication, SMTP, DHCP, DNS, NIS, LDAP, CIFS, NFS, Samba, and NIX system security.
- Experience with infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery, and business continuity products.
- CompTIA Security+ certification or other industry-recognized certifications relevant to a Linux/Unix System Administrator.
- A competitive salary range of $85,000 - $179,000.
