About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Linux Systems Administrator to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Linux-based infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable and secure Linux-based solutions to meet the needs of our business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and consistency.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Linux technologies and best practices to ensure our infrastructure remains secure and efficient.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in Linux system administration.
- Active DoD Secret or Top-Secret clearance.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu.
- Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware vCenter and vSphere.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level 2 certification or higher.
- Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, and/or DoD/RMF.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.
- Scripting experience with languages such as Bash and Python.
