Key Responsibilities- Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain Linux/UNIX systems, including architecture, deployment, administration, networking, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data by implementing and maintaining security protocols, conducting risk assessments, and complying with relevant regulations and standards.
- Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for our infrastructure, including experience with products like Symantec NetBackup.
- Automation and Scripting: Automate tasks and processes using scripting languages like BASH and Ansible, and experience with automation tools like Puppet and Chef.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize infrastructure and security needs, and communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in Linux/UNIX system administration, or 9 years of relevant experience.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+ certification or other industry-recognized certifications relevant to a Linux/UNIX System Administrator.
- Clearance: S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
As a Linux/UNIX System Administrator at Raytheon Careers, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with a talented team, and contribute to the development of our infrastructure and security capabilities. We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $179,000, and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) match.
