About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Linux/Unix System Administrator to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of our Linux/Unix systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain Linux/Unix systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Provide technical support and guidance to other team members on Linux/Unix-related issues.
Develop and implement scripts and automation tools to improve system efficiency and reliability.
Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of Linux/Unix systems with other infrastructure components.
Stay up-to-date with the latest Linux/Unix technologies and best practices to ensure our systems remain secure and efficient.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of experience in Linux/Unix system administration.
Active Secret security clearance required.
Experience with Linux architecture, deployment, administration, networking, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
Experience with integrated AD authentication, SMTP, DHCP, DNS, NIS, LDAP, CIFS, NFS, Samba, and NIX system security.
Experience with infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery, and business continuity products.
Experience with security infrastructure products and capabilities.
Experience with automation via scripting, file replication, file system tuning, upgrading, and configuring.
Experience with HP server hardware support and diagnosis, storage hardware support and diagnosis.
Experience with NAS and/or SAN, VMware ESXi, and vCenter technologies.
Familiarity with Splunk, Centrify, BASH Scripting, and Ansible.
CompTIA Security+ certification or other industry-recognized certifications relevant to a Linux/Unix System Administrator.
