Key Responsibilities:
- Administer IT systems within a diverse environment that includes Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux.
- Utilize your understanding of server internals, including DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory, to optimize system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Implement data management strategies, including RAID configurations and backup technologies.
- Work closely with cybersecurity teams to uphold security protocols and provide necessary documentation and training.
- Achieve Department of Defense certification requirements within the designated timeframe.
- Develop and document solutions for a variety of technical challenges.
- Be prepared to work outside standard hours as needed to ensure system availability.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 5 years of experience, or a master's degree with at least 3 years of experience.
- An active U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required.
- Proven experience with Linux systems is essential.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMWare is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible.
- Knowledge of data storage solutions, including NAS and SAN technologies.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks such as NISPOM and DoD/RMF.
- Experience supporting engineering teams in software and hardware development.
