Role Overview:

In the capacity of Director of Product for Ecosystem Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in defining the trajectory of our ecosystem platform, driving innovation, and broadening our influence in API development and collaboration.

Your mission will be to cultivate and expand an ecosystem platform that enables developers and partners to craft integrated experiences, facilitating teams in creating, collaborating, managing, and scaling their APIs and solutions.

This position calls for a strategic visionary with a profound understanding of developer ecosystems and a commitment to delivering outstanding developer experiences. You will outline our comprehensive ecosystem strategy, encompassing extensibility, integration frameworks, and program methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and consolidate customer insights to shape our strategy, priorities, and roadmap for the Postman Ecosystem.
  • Formulate and implement the product strategy for Postman's ecosystem, including APIs, extensibility, developer frameworks, and community engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with your core team (engineering, platform, design) to establish a vision and deliver an ecosystem platform that empowers developers and partners.
  • Ensure the ecosystem platform operates reliably and securely, fostering trust among developers and customers.
  • Encourage a dynamic developer community and implement feedback mechanisms to enhance developer satisfaction.
  • Facilitate the adoption and usage of ecosystem applications through various growth strategies.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success and adoption of our ecosystem platform.
  • Work cross-functionally with various teams to launch initiatives that improve developer and customer experiences.
  • Establish frameworks and processes to deliver quality products efficiently.
  • Communicate our strategy clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of relevant experience in product management, platform development, and developer experience within software or ecosystem-rich companies.
  • Demonstrated success in launching and scaling developer-focused products or platforms.
  • Exceptional communication and influence skills across product, engineering, and go-to-market teams.
  • A strong developer background with hands-on experience in APIs and ecosystems.
  • In-depth knowledge of API technologies and ecosystem dynamics.
  • Experience in building and managing developer communities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
  • Proven ability to balance immediate execution with long-term vision.
  • Outstanding presentation skills with the capacity to influence stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and adept at prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Proven experience in leading and scaling teams.
  • Willingness to accommodate time zone differences for collaboration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
