Job Overview

Position Summary

National Capitol Contracting LLC is seeking a Telecommunications Technician to provide essential technical assistance for communication services.

This role is critical for maintaining effective communication systems in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the networking team to support layer 2 data networks, emphasizing the Avaya VoIP system and local area network (LAN) connectivity.
  • Install, test, and oversee telecommunications cabling to enable voice, video, and data transmission.
  • Manage daily operational tasks such as system additions, relocations, and modifications.
  • Utilize various diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Efficiently process user-generated work orders and incident tickets.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Possession of an Associate's Degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Ethernet MHz testing tools.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Basic familiarity with power tools.

Special Position Requirements

Schedule: 8-hour shifts with the flexibility to meet client needs.
