Job Overview

Position Summary

National Capitol Contracting LLC is seeking a Telecommunications Technician to provide essential technical support for telecommunication services.

This role is crucial for maintaining effective communication systems in a vital operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the networking team to deliver support for the layer 2 data network, with an emphasis on the Avaya VoIP system and LAN connectivity.
  • Install, test, and manage telecommunications cabling to support voice, video, and data communication systems.
  • Address daily support tasks including additions, relocations, and modifications.
  • Utilize various testing tools to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Efficiently process user-initiated work orders and incident tickets.
  • Perform additional assigned tasks as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Possession of an Associate's Degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Ethernet MHz testing tools.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Basic knowledge or experience with power tools.

Special Position Requirements

Schedule: Flexibility in 8-hour shifts to meet client needs.
