Title: Pediatric Speech Therapist

Location: Various locations including clients' homes

Compensation: $72,818 - $90,819

Office Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Supervisory Responsibility: None

POSITION SUMMARY

Deliver individualized speech and language therapy to clients aged from birth to three years, along with providing staff training, family education, case management, and assistance with program outreach.

Essential Duties:
  • Assess clients to identify and formulate treatment plans for speech, language, fluency, articulation, expressive and receptive language delays, and hearing impairments.
  • Compile detailed reports post-evaluation and create tailored treatment strategies. Discuss evaluation findings and treatment plans with families.
  • Offer both in-office and home-based services as dictated by various contracted organizations. Track client progress and modify services as necessary.
  • Ensure timely completion and submission of monthly billing for all therapists to the designated personnel.
  • Maintain precise scheduling and documentation systems.
  • Engage with family members and other professionals involved in the client's care continuously, adhering to all HIPAA regulations.
  • Adhere to all objectives outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Educate parents on speech enhancement techniques for both in-office and home therapy clients.
  • Collaborate with multiple agencies regarding referrals, treatment progress, and service termination.
Other Duties
  • May oversee Clinical Fellows (CFY's) and Graduate Student Interns.
  • Follow the Injury and Illness Prevention Program, ensuring safe operation of tools and equipment.
  • Abide by company policies and procedures, including mandated reporting protocols.
  • Participate in required meetings and conferences.
  • Maintain regular on-site working hours.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Master's Degree in Speech Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related discipline. Current California State License and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Pathology.

Experience: Minimum of two years of clinical experience with children aged birth to three years presenting a variety of disorders.

  • Commitment to confidentiality.
  • Ability to respond swiftly to emergencies.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a high degree of initiative.
  • Proficient computer skills for report generation.
  • Basic understanding of the roles of other team members.
  • Bilingual abilities preferred (English/Spanish or English/Armenian).
REQUIREMENTS
  • Valid California driver's license, dependable transportation, proof of car insurance, and a clean driving record.
  • Successful completion of a DOJ background check.
  • Provide documentation of a negative TB test initially and every three years thereafter.
  • Pass a pre-employment physical examination.
  • Obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Retain California License for Speech and Language Pathology.
