Job Overview:
The selected individual will be required to perform their responsibilities at the designated location(s) as determined by the Department. However, candidates are expected to operate within the Tallahassee, Florida area. Assignments may be temporary or permanent, based on departmental needs.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Project Manager, you will enhance existing program resources and deliver project management services to facilitate the completion of strategic, critical, legislative, or internally directed initiatives.

This role encompasses the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of projects, ensuring alignment with agency strategies, commitments, and objectives.

Specific Duties Include:
1. Coordination of project activities related to the design and execution of business processes, legislative initiatives, and supporting information systems projects.
2. Application of project management principles for the development and delivery of GTA business projects.
3. Facilitation and documentation of project determination as per the Department of Management's Project Management and Oversight guidelines, including business cases, scope definitions, and project charters.
4. Management of project scope, deliverables, risks, and issues.
5. Facilitation of requirement gathering with business and IT personnel, business process owners, subject matter experts, and key stakeholders as necessary.
6. Engagement with other departmental stakeholders throughout project closure.
7. Provision of status reports to program management and stakeholders.
8. Documentation of lessons learned and execution of project closure activities.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology Project Management.
- At least 2 years of experience within a structured Project Management Office (PMO).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project and/or project management technology tools.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
- Additional duties as required.

Education:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in state agencies and adherence to the Department of Management's Project Management and Oversight guidelines.
