Job Title: Senior IT Project Coordinator

Location: Remote

Project Duration: Initial contract of 10 months

About the Role:

The Senior IT Project Coordinator will act as the primary communication link for the project team. The responsibilities of this position include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee resource-allocated and balanced project plans.
  • Track project metrics in line with established benchmarks.
  • Set performance indicators for resources.
  • Act as a point of contact with end-users.
  • Provide direct leadership for intricate projects.
  • Deliver project status updates to both internal and external stakeholders, including executive management.
  • Manage financial plans and resources for related projects.
  • Ensure all project documentation adheres to Program Management Office (PMO) standards and other necessary compliance regulations.
  • Facilitate business requirement gathering sessions.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and IT development teams to capture business requirements.
  • Coordinate and produce As-Is, To-Be, and other essential business analysis documents.
  • Lead the execution of business process enhancement recommendations.
  • Adhere to standardized practices that guarantee the quality and integrity of project documentation.
  • Manage the expectations of various stakeholders and provide regular updates to executives.
  • Create Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) templates.
  • Work autonomously as part of a broader cross-functional team.

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields from an accredited institution. Relevant experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience establishing and managing a project management office.
  • At least five (5) years of experience leading successful, large-scale projects involving multiple diverse teams.
  • Five (5) years of experience using project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or Jira.
  • Five (5) years of experience in developing and maintaining detailed project plans and schedules.
  • Five (5) years of experience with PMO methodologies and documentation practices.
  • Five (5) years of experience in facilitating meetings and documenting outcomes.
  • Five (5) years of experience in creating and presenting status reports.
  • Five (5) years of experience in risk and issue management.
  • Proven ability to deliver project outcomes within scope, schedule, budget, and quality parameters.
  • Strong coordination skills to manage multiple project teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in preparing presentations for stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership and negotiation capabilities.
  • Successful completion of a Level II Background Check is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Service Management Foundations Certification.
  • Experience managing projects with a large, distributed user base.
  • Experience with waterfall project management.
  • Experience in state government project management.
  • Familiarity with compliance regulations related to project reporting.
  • Experience working with technical programming teams.
  • Proactive problem-solving attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
  • Negotiation, mediation, facilitation, and team-building skills.
  • Knowledge of IT standards in a criminal justice context.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and projects.
  • Knowledge in additional IT areas such as programming and data analytics.
  • A collaborative mindset with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and thrive in a dynamic environment.
