Position Overview:

The Ticketing Operations Supervisor collaborates closely with the Box Office Manager to oversee the daily functions of ticket sales and box office management. This role is essential in fostering strong relationships with various stakeholders, including promoters, artist representatives, venue management, and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in recruiting and supervising all box office staff, providing necessary training and resources to ensure staff are knowledgeable about policies and procedures.
  • Manage box office operations to support promoters, handle walk-up sales, address will-call inquiries, resolve seating issues, and respond to patron questions.
  • Support event planning, management, and coordination of ticket sales.
  • Facilitate communication with ticket outlets and computer ticketing services in the absence of the Box Office Manager, ensuring they are well-informed about events and system operations.
  • Maintain comprehensive records for each event, ensuring accuracy in production details, seat holds for venues and promoters, complimentary ticket vouchers, event audits, and ticket inventory schedules.
  • Oversee payroll processing, including staff clock-ins/outs, payroll approvals, and timely payroll submissions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Arts or Sciences is required. Candidates must possess prior box office experience and demonstrate proficiency in computer applications, particularly the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with computerized ticketing systems is essential. The ability to work efficiently under pressure, manage significant cash transactions, and juggle multiple tasks is necessary. Candidates should be prepared to work flexible hours, including weekdays and weekends, as dictated by the event schedule. Familiarity with Ticketmaster and Archtics ticketing systems is preferred.
