Position Summary

The Concession Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing designated concession stands or mobile service points during events. This position is essential for ensuring high-quality products and services across multiple concession areas by leading a team of concession staff, including hourly employees and temporary workers. A comprehensive understanding of food and beverage offerings, as well as preparation methods and inventory management, is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operations of assigned concession locations, ensuring that all pre-event inventory is accurately accounted for and confirmed with the Stand Manager.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for communication with various stakeholders, including warehouse staff, concession management, and other supervisors, to guarantee guest satisfaction.
  • Assist the Stand Manager in addressing guest complaints and ensuring effective resolutions.
  • Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed accurately by each Concession Stand Manager at the conclusion of events for proper accounting.
  • Provide guidance to Concession Stand Managers on closing procedures to ensure locations are cleaned and prepared for future events.
  • Conduct inspections of stands at the end of each event and complete the closeout process for each location.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Possession of a valid TEAM, Title 4, or TIP certification card.
  • Valid County Food Handler Card must be on file and available for each event.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of all pre-employment documentation, successful background check, and math assessment involving U.S. currency.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.
  • Preferred experience of 3+ years in a supervisory role within a high-volume restaurant or similar venue.

Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient in supervising a diverse team with varying skill levels.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and remain on feet for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capability to adapt to extreme temperature changes and work in noisy environments.
