We are currently seeking a Technical Account Manager to oversee a critical territory in Texas.

You will be responsible for supporting clients in the Refining sector, a highly visible area within Quadra's operations in the USA. Quadra collaborates with motivated partners at the forefront of technology, backed by a robust manufacturing base and reliable internal resources.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, your role will involve cultivating relationships within the territory and enhancing the Quadra brand in the United States. We seek candidates with technical sales experience in the chemical distribution industry and a solid understanding of refining processes. Frequent travel throughout the assigned region will be necessary to promote Quadra's products and services, engaging with engineers, operators, local procurement, and other stakeholders. This includes crafting and executing a collaborative strategic business plan based on a comprehensive understanding of industry trends and customer requirements.

Ideal candidates will have professional sales experience focused on maintaining and expanding a territory, with a strong emphasis on new business development. Additionally, a solid technical background in refining engineering, operations, or prior technical support roles within a manufacturer/distributor is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and nurture key customer relationships, aligned with Quadra's core values and strategic vision
  • Achieve or surpass annual sales and margin targets, developed in accordance with Quadra's business objectives
  • Leverage internal and external supplier resources, showcasing Quadra's commitment to technical and commercial excellence
  • Promote Quadra's superior product line to potential clients through regular customer visits, joint calls, and participation in industry events
  • Engage in social networking; create and facilitate networking events with potential clients and partners in your territory
  • Assist customers with troubleshooting and optimization opportunities
  • Travel frequently to meet clients on-site, engage with potential customers, and participate in industry events
  • Demonstrate strong presentation and written communication skills
  • Manage tight deadlines and address after-hours emergencies
  • Identify key decision-makers and their needs
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and integrating contract specifications
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers/influencers to secure repeat and new sales
  • Adapt to a complex, rapidly evolving environment on a daily basis
  • Conduct cold calls to potential customers
  • Provide daily reporting and scheduling

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in business development and technical sales within the refining or petrochemical industry
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in an operations/managerial/technical support role in a refinery or petrochemical facility is highly valued
  • Experience in the oil and gas sector and/or chemical distribution is a significant advantage
  • Competency in dealing with gas processing amines, glycols, molecular sieves, heat transfer fluids, activated carbon, and commodities
  • Proven ability to drive new sales: prospecting, qualifying customer needs, delivering presentations, addressing concerns, and closing deals
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and KPIs
  • Ability to develop and maintain business relationships with prospective customers to generate new business
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time, including international travel
  • Valid driver's license and passport; proximity to a major airport is essential due to travel requirements
  • Proficient computer skills, experience with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce), and the Microsoft Office suite
