Job Summary

CTS Complete Technical Services is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our fixed equipment assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to our operations team and other stakeholders to ensure the reliable operation of our equipment.
  • Perform incident investigations to identify root causes of failures and develop recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
  • Troubleshoot problems with pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation.
  • Collaborate with our inspection and corrosion engineers to evaluate equipment damage mechanisms and develop recommendations for potential projects to mitigate equipment reliability concerns.
  • Participate in the development of corrosion control documents and integrity operating windows to ensure the long-term reliability of our equipment.
  • Perform fitness-for-service and remaining life calculations to determine the suitability of equipment for continued operation.
  • Develop repair procedures for damaged equipment to ensure safe and efficient repair.
  • Actively participate in turnaround planning and execution to ensure turnarounds achieve fixed equipment reliability improvement goals.
  • Manage the procurement of like-in-kind replacements of fixed equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation.
  • Provide technical support to our reliability-driven capital projects to ensure the successful execution of these initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or other related engineering degree.
  • 5 years of job-related experience.
  • 3+ years of job-related experience preferred.
  • Experience at a refinery, chemical plant, or heavy industrial facility is preferred.
  • Familiarity with design/construction codes and standards such as ASME Section I, ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.3, API 510, API 570, and API 571 is preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker's Identification Credential (TWIC).
