The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is an integral part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), dedicated to driving revenue and growth across a diverse range of clients, from small and mid-market accounts to large enterprise customers, including those in the public sector.

Our approach is centered around understanding our customers' most pressing challenges and crafting go-to-market strategies that transform AWS concepts into substantial business ventures.

As a member of WWSO, you will provide invaluable expertise throughout the entire lifecycle of AWS customer initiatives, from ideation of new services to accelerating the adoption of existing solutions.

The WWSO Startup team is focused on assisting customers in leveraging our cutting-edge technologies. We are specialists in technology and are dedicated to enabling Startups to scale efficiently and effectively on AWS.

Our goal is to empower Startups to thrive with AWS, simplifying their journey by recommending the most suitable technologies and facilitating a swift onboarding process.

This role is specifically aligned with the WWSO Startup team, where you will act as a Technical Business Developer, guiding Startups in adopting AWS technologies, particularly Amazon Q.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with CxO/VP level executives, as well as developers and technical architects, to facilitate adoption, build pipelines, secure key customers, drive revenue growth, and explore strategic partnerships.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted business advisor within customer accounts through Technical Thought Leadership.
  • Design and implement programs that leverage AWS Field teams and partner channels.
  • Collaborate with AWS Product and Technical teams to develop solutions that address customer challenges, including reference architectures and automation strategies.
  • Work alongside Marketing to create and align digital marketing initiatives that enhance awareness and generate demand.
  • Own the Startup go-to-market strategy and execution for Amazon Q in the eastern US, collaborating with Sales, Partners, Marketing, and other specialists.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in GTM, Sales, or Consulting.
  • 5+ years of experience in technology domains such as LLM, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and GenAI.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in Startups and roles within VC or PE-backed firms in Product, Business Development, or Sales.
  • Proven track record of building relationships with Startup executives and closing strategic deals.
  • Familiarity with open-source software utilized by Startups and a working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
  • Strong storytelling capabilities backed by data, with comfort in engaging Startup executives and developers.
  • Recognized industry expertise in relevant disciplines with proven public speaking skills.
  • Cloud expertise demonstrated through cloud certifications.
  • Advanced degree preferred, particularly an MBA or MS in Computer Science or Engineering.
