Are you a driven professional with a commitment to customer success? We are seeking a talented individual to join our Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) Elastic Disaster Recovery team as a Business Development Specialist.

This role is essential within the AWS Worldwide Disaster Recovery team, merging strategic insight with practical execution and direct relationship management.

As a Global Specialist, you will be responsible for enhancing the adoption, utilization, and revenue of AWS services on a global scale. Your role will involve understanding customer and industry requirements and collaborating with AWS product teams to innovate and deliver exceptional AWS offerings. Global Specialists are technically proficient individuals tasked with identifying opportunities for innovation with customers, influencing the AWS product roadmap, and driving revenue for specific AWS services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement technical go-to-market strategies and sales initiatives for new or existing services.
  • Drive customer and partner engagement through participation in AWS field enablement activities.
  • Leverage a proven track record in developing and executing go-to-market strategies that yield significant results.
  • Build trust and establish strategic engagements with stakeholders at all levels, including CxO/VP and technical leaders.
  • Exhibit an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity.
  • Utilize analytical skills to quickly identify problems and devise practical solutions.
  • Understand cost structures and delivery models related to Cloud management, risk, and business continuity.
  • Design scalable programs and processes that enhance onboarding experiences for partners and end-users.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with champions, documenting success stories along the way.

About the Team:

The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is dedicated to addressing our customers' most complex and critical challenges by developing and executing go-to-market strategies that transform AWS concepts into multi-billion-dollar enterprises. Our teams consist of specialists with extensive technology and industry knowledge, guiding their fields into the future. As part of WWSO, you will provide expertise throughout the entire lifecycle of an AWS customer initiative, from ideation of new services to accelerating the adoption of established offerings.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud Operations and Managed Services.
  • Proven experience in leading, negotiating, and executing corporate or business transactions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in sales or business development within disaster recovery solutions.
  • Familiarity with enterprise commercial technology sales cycles.
  • Ability to gather customer insights up to the VP level.
  • Technical understanding of IT challenges faced by customers and alignment with AWS solutions.
  • Experience in developing and executing go-to-market strategies at scale across numerous internal teams and thousands of customers.

Our compensation reflects the labor costs across various US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is determined by multiple factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company, and depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be included as part of a total compensation package, alongside a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
