Position Title: We are seeking a qualified Construction Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations on construction sites. This role offers the possibility of advancement to a Project Manager position in the future.

Employment Type: Contractual

Work Locations: Opportunities are available in various locations.

Contract Duration: The initial contract period is set for 12 months, with potential for extension or transition to a permanent role.

Work Schedule: The selected candidates will work a rotation of 3 weeks onsite followed by 1 week of remote work, with a guaranteed 40 hours per week.

Compensation Package: The position offers an hourly wage, overtime pay at time and a half, a daily per diem, a monthly cell phone allowance, and a company-provided laptop. Candidates will manage their own travel arrangements, including flights and accommodations, with weekly reimbursements for these expenses.

Qualifications: Candidates should possess a background in General Construction, with experience in electrical and/or mechanical systems being highly desirable.

Our client, a prominent player in the design and construction of mission-critical facilities, is currently engaged in several significant projects. They are seeking contractors to support ongoing work due to a temporary hiring freeze on full-time positions. These contractors may have opportunities to work on various projects over an extended period and could potentially transition to permanent roles once the hiring freeze is lifted.

The Site Supervisor plays a crucial role within the project team, collaborating closely with the Project Manager and Project Engineer. This position is essential for the effective daily management of construction activities in a mission-critical environment, where compliance and safety are paramount. Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Maintenance Operating Procedures (MOPs) is advantageous, particularly for candidates with experience in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensively understand the project contract, schedule, and overall scope of work.
  • Maintain and monitor the project schedule to ensure timely completion.
  • Review subcontractor agreements and vendor purchase orders thoroughly.
  • Verify the completion of work against invoices submitted by subcontractors and vendors.
  • Secure necessary permits and lien releases from subcontractors and vendors.
  • Collaborate with the Project Scheduler to develop and maintain the progress schedule.
  • Prepare and distribute daily reports detailing field activities.
  • Coordinate inspections, testing, and surveying as required.
  • Facilitate regular construction meetings and prepare agendas.
  • Enforce site safety protocols and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain a Site Utilization Plan.
  • Assist the Project Manager in identifying scope gaps and duplications in contracts and purchase orders.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for subcontractors and vendors.
  • Provide safety training for subcontractors and ensure adherence to safety regulations.

The Site Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all necessary information is gathered to create and modify the project schedule as needed. They will also participate in scope reviews to ensure all aspects of the project are coordinated effectively. Monitoring performance and ensuring that subcontractors meet their commitments are critical components of this role.
