Overview:
Directs, organizes, and schedules workforce and production involved in various construction tasks on a project. Operates under the guidance of the project Superintendent.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversees assigned project tasks and labor teams to achieve daily objectives.
Develops work strategies, identifies material and equipment requirements, and formulates work schedules for designated project activities. Reviews daily work plans with team members and adjusts weekly schedules based on project developments.
Completes necessary company or regulatory documentation such as DRA, JHA, Weekly Jobsite Inspection sheets, and timesheets.
Interprets and comprehends project specifications to facilitate job setup tasks. Collaborates with work crews and local utility providers to pinpoint hazardous areas on the job site.
Coordinates with the internal equipment team to ensure that project tasks are equipped with the necessary tools and materials to complete work within the designated timeline.
Promotes and enforces strict compliance with safety protocols and operational procedures regarding equipment use, worksite safety, and documentation standards. Responsibilities include identifying training needs observed on-site.
Supervises subcontractor productivity and workforce concerning assigned project tasks. Suggests adjustments to work schedules or methods for subcontractor operations as required.
Facilitates project closeout processes in accordance with company standards and owner checklist criteria.
Maintains awareness of the company's values and strategic objectives.
Adheres to established corporate policies.
Completes additional tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications:
Proficient in reading and writing in English and basic mathematics is essential.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in managing construction operations and labor teams is required.
At least 3 years of experience in the construction field is necessary.
In-depth knowledge of tool and equipment safety practices.
Familiarity with construction methodologies and safety regulations on-site.
Strong leadership and communication abilities.
Excellent organizational and document management skills.
