Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Coordinator to join our team at SSM Health. As a Patient Access Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical scheduling process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gathering and Verifying Patient Information: You will be responsible for gathering and verifying patient demographic, insurance, and clinical information to ensure accurate scheduling and billing.
  • Scheduling Patient Procedures: You will schedule patient procedures in a manner that optimizes the use of clinical resources and minimizes wait times.
  • Coordinating Insurance Pre-Certification/Autorization: You will assist with the coordination of insurance pre-certification/authorization to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Providing Patient Counseling: You will provide counseling to patients regarding pre-service requirements and instructions to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Clerical and Reception Duties: You will perform various clerical and reception duties associated with patient registration, including data entry and communication with patients and staff.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: You must have a high school diploma or equivalent to be considered for this role.
  • No Experience Required: While experience is not required, you must be able to demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent Lifting/Carrying: You will frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequent Sitting, Standing, and Walking: You will frequently sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday.
  • Frequent Keyboard Use/Data Entry: You will frequently use a keyboard and perform data entry tasks.
