Position Overview:

Are you an innovative leader in Software Engineering with a strong commitment to driving product development initiatives? This role is tailored for those who excel in guiding dynamic teams to deliver exceptional software solutions.

Role Summary:

The Director of Software Engineering will spearhead new product development efforts, focusing on SaaS products utilizing C# and Azure, alongside cutting-edge machine control software developed in C++. This is a pivotal leadership role in Software Engineering, offering numerous opportunities for career advancement and increased responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a global team in the creation of advanced software solutions that establish industry benchmarks for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversee multiple international teams in the architecture, design, implementation, testing, and deployment of innovative software products, including:
  • State-of-the-art machine control applications
  • Groundbreaking SaaS solutions in Azure
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines, fulfillment of requirements, and delivery of solutions within budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with product management and engage with clients to define and gather product requirements, ensuring our offerings surpass expectations.
  • Work closely with professional services and support teams to address complex challenges and guarantee seamless delivery of solutions to clients.
  • Promote the adoption of new tools, processes, and best practices across global development teams, nurturing a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Inspire, mentor, and develop team members to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Maintain significant interaction with Development/Engineering teams, Product Management, Executive Business Stakeholders, and External Clients.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience leading product development teams.
  • More than 10 years of experience in object-oriented software design and development throughout the complete lifecycle.
  • Proven experience in developing machine control software for intricate custom systems (C++, Windows).
  • Experience in creating SaaS products in accordance with the Well-Architected Framework (Azure/Azure Components, C#).
  • Demonstrated success in leading diverse teams on high-stakes projects to meet critical deadlines, with experience in Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong project management capabilities and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to collaborate closely with senior management and interface with clients.
