Position Overview:
The Trading Product Specialist serves as a technical account manager for FactSet's Execution Management System (EMS), Portware. This role is pivotal in fostering strong relationships with clients and ensuring their needs are met through effective collaboration with product, engineering, implementation, and support teams.

Work Environment:

This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility in work arrangements.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in the pre-sales process to evaluate client requirements prior to implementation.
  • Develop strategic objectives tailored to each client account.
  • Participate in the requirements gathering phase at the start of implementation projects and throughout daily operations to allocate necessary resources effectively.
  • Advocate for clients' current and future needs through strong partnerships.
  • Serve as an internal client advocate to enhance visibility of client requirements.
  • Align activities with clients' business goals and priorities.
  • Identify business opportunities that align with Portware's objectives.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Support, Development, Sales, and Pre-Sales Engineering to ensure efficient and cost-effective client implementations.
  • Work alongside Support to resolve any client issues.
  • Inspire higher standards and results in others through exemplary performance.

Required Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in front office financial markets with a solid understanding of market structures across various asset classes.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
  • Experience as a technical business analyst with a strong capability to translate business needs into functional specifications.
  • Proficient in SQL, with the ability to create complex queries.
  • Experience collaborating directly with software engineers and Technical Architects on business requirements.
  • Background in securities trading, preferably in FX or Fixed Income, with knowledge of other asset classes being advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the FIX protocol and its practical applications.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial markets and associated technologies.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement from both successes and setbacks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and practical thinking skills.
  • Understanding of EMS systems and their components, with OMS experience being a plus.
  • Ability to comprehend domain changes and their relevance to client systems and operations.
  • Capability to operate at various levels of work, from operational to strategic.

Preferred Skills:
  • Prior experience with light coding (Java) is a plus.
