The Manufacturing Process Specialist is responsible for enhancing the daily operations of the production line by refining manufacturing procedures, analyzing root causes of issues, and executing cost-reduction strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in operational support and the development of new products and processes
  • Help design facility layouts for equipment relocations and additions utilizing Lean Manufacturing methodologies
  • Conduct time analysis to support ongoing improvement initiatives
  • Manage change orders through the established change management system
  • Create and revise process and material specifications
  • Organize training for operators on new and existing processes, products, and machinery
  • Collaborate with external partners to enhance processes and troubleshoot technical challenges
  • Draft capital expenditure proposals, oversee equipment procurement and installation, and monitor expenditures
  • Validate equipment and processes during improvement efforts
  • Support planning for capacity, cost efficiency, and facility design
  • Evaluate process capabilities and implement enhancements
  • Engage in cross-departmental project teams
  • Review technical drawings for new and existing products
  • Ensure compliance with product/process design standards as per company policies
  • Perform additional tasks as required

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a scientific or engineering field or equivalent professional experience
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team
  • Proficient technical writing skills
  • Understanding of risk management documentation
  • Knowledge of fixtures and tooling
  • Experience with CAD/SolidWorks software
