About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and stimulating environment within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, design, develop, create and maintain small-scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner.
  • Conduct on-site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other).
  • Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications.
  • Assess potential risks, materials and costs.
  • Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies.
  • Oversee and mentor staff and liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Handle over the resulting structures and services for use.
  • Monitor progress and compile reports in project status.
  • Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials.
  • Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety, etc. and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management is preferred (open to equivalent experience).
  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience in heavy infrastructure, heavy civil, or marine construction industries.
  • Proven experience in heavy civil, marine, and heavy infrastructure projects.
  • Strong project management and team leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in project planning, scheduling, and quality control.
  • Strong understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, and familiarity with construction/project management software.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • A team player with leadership abilities.
  • PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
