Job Summary

This position is responsible for executing business objectives and managing sales and logistics functions for their respective sales department and ensuring that the department meets those goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure Smooth Operations
  • Direct the operating activities of the department
  • Assure that profit or year-end goals are attained
  • Understand the functions of the department and makes sure that the department functions productively
  • Oversee general customer service to ensure its quality
  • Ensure that relations with Japanese suppliers are maintained
  • Ensure that staff perform assigned tasks accurately, allowing the department to maximize financial performance and limit risk

Business Development

  • Establish Business Goals
  • Regularly assess the departments overall business situation
  • Develop overall business and operational strategies and ensures their execution in a timely manner
  • Manage costs and increase revenues
  • Analyze sales trends and operating efficiency, product presentations, and best practices to maximize profit
  • Make proposals and recommendations regarding new business to target
  • Direct and coordinate the departments financial performance

Profit Maximization

  • Increase Profit
  • Identify new business opportunities and develops new customers
  • Identify and evaluate investment opportunities and form strategic alliances as appropriate
  • Prepare department budgets
  • Ensure that the department operates within budget
  • Review and checks the accuracy of financial information
  • Approve cost breakdowns and payments
  • Assess year-end budgetary results

Sales Operations

  • Manage Sales Operations
  • Review and approve commission payments to agents and sales consultants
  • Determine sales plans and pricing strategies
  • Project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
  • Formulate and implement targeted sales goals
  • Establish new accounts and achieve sustainable and profitable sales growth over the long-term
  • Implement, negotiate, and close all pricing proposals
  • Maintain inventory levels and evaluate production and quality control reports
  • Manage sales staff and hold sales meetings
  • Prepare sales reports for Senior Management as needed
  • Manages all other aspects of sales operation

Staff Supervision

  • Supervise Staff
  • Explain management decisions and directions to staff
  • Represent staff to put forward issues to management
  • Provide direction and delegate responsibilities to subordinate staff
  • Conduct Performance Appraisals
  • Contribute to employment decisions (i.e., promotions, salary adjustments, termination, etc.)

Requirements

  • MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor`s degree
  • MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of 10 years of related management and sales experience
  • Strong leadership background
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly efficient time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent team-builder
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural business environment
