Position Overview:

Oscar de la Renta is seeking a Logistics Operations Manager to oversee the operational functions of our distribution center. This role is essential in managing teams and ensuring efficient processes within the warehouse environment, particularly within the luxury fashion sector.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Logistics Director to meet financial objectives and operational requirements.
  • Direct and manage the daily operations of the warehouse for multiple high-end brands.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team focused on receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping to international clients.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies through effective control measures.
  • Deliver ongoing training to shipping and receiving personnel to uphold company standards.
  • Work alongside management to address and resolve chargeback issues.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, appropriate shipping methods, and clear communication throughout the process.
  • Assist in conducting monthly inventory counts and physical audits in collaboration with the management team.
  • Maintain an organized and high-standard work environment for merchandise.
  • Continuously propose enhancements to boost productivity and streamline operations.
  • Exhibit strong decision-making capabilities and adaptability to evolving demands.
  • Contribute ideas for ongoing process improvements.
  • Clarify objectives and expectations through regular team meetings and written updates.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cross-dock setting, specifically within the apparel industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in staff management and motivation.
  • Proven success in achieving and surpassing operational goals.
  • Strong proficiency in computer applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Exceptional time management abilities with a focus on prioritization.
  • Capability to lift over 50 pounds.
  • Physical ability to navigate the warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software is preferred. Certification in logistics or supply chain management is advantageous.
