Position: Youth Development Counselor
Location: Wethersfield, CT
Employment Type: Full-Time (Sunday-Wednesday)


ROLE SUMMARY:

The Youth Development Counselor will deliver essential support to young individuals engaged in a transitional living initiative aimed at equipping them with the necessary skills for independent living. This role serves as a pivotal role model, reinforcing the objectives outlined in each participant's service plan. Responsibilities also include maintaining a clean environment, assisting with morning meals, and overseeing medication administration.

  • Supervise program participants while providing assistance to Case Managers and Assistant Case Coordinators.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure the safety and presence of youth.
  • Comply with documentation protocols as instructed.
  • Support breakfast preparation.
  • Facilitate medication distribution.

COMPENSATION & WORK SCHEDULE:
  • Hourly wage of $20.80.
  • Overtime eligibility at time and a half.
  • Scheduled hours: Sunday 10pm to Monday 11am, Monday 9pm to Tuesday 11am, Tuesday 10pm to Wednesday 11am (totaling 40 hours).

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Experience from personal background is advantageous.
  • Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) are a plus.
