Job Title: Director of Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to join our team at Gecko Hospitality. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for overseeing a region of 20 units and 4 District Managers across Vermont, traveling up to 70% of the time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Building, leading, and developing a skilled and dynamic management team for your region with a focus on diversity and inclusion
  • Focusing on your team's personal career goals, identifying opportunities and addressing them
  • Utilizing your deep financial acumen to analyze company results and discover opportunities in all financial categories
  • Working as part of a close-knit Operations department
  • Leading by example to create a best-in-class guest experience by actively working alongside your teams on the line when visiting your locations
  • Analyzing sales and controlling expenses, payroll, and inventory
  • Working directly with all departments, including Finance, Marketing, People + Culture, our processing facility, and more
  • Communicating with your teams and reporting on their results on a daily basis
Requirements:
  • At least three years experience managing multiple District Managers in the restaurant business (ideally 10+ locations)
  • Confidence in training, development, and on-the-job coaching
  • Strong financial acumen, including an understanding of P&Ls and COGs
  • Ability to synthesize data into actionable items
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to jump into the field every day–not interested in a desk job
  • Experience managing multi-unit managers
  • Willingness to entertain a robust interview process–this role is joining a very tight-knit team and the process may take up to 4 weeks
  • All required food handler certifications
