Position Overview
Responsible for overseeing and enhancing the strategic and efficient application of information technology across the organization. Collaborates with fellow leaders to formulate and implement technology strategies effectively.

Provides visionary leadership for the IT division and IT initiatives organization-wide, working closely with operational and executive leaders to ensure technology aligns with operational objectives.

Safeguards the integrity of IT systems and organizational data, balancing business requirements with effective risk management. Partners with research leaders to maximize the efficient use of technology in research activities.

Key Responsibilities
Staff Management:
Develops and leads a proficient team by ensuring effective communication, guidance, and resources are available.

Staff Development:
Assesses qualifications and competencies; responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring, evaluating, and rewarding staff. Ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Works collaboratively with institutional leaders to identify technological needs and solutions, ensuring operational leaders have the necessary technology to meet business objectives.

Stays informed on current and emerging technologies, acting as a resource and change agent to effectively integrate new and existing technologies to enhance operational efficiency and growth initiatives.

Guarantees the cost-effective provision of IT services throughout the organization. Manages IT budgets and oversees technology procurement efforts, leading sourcing strategies and vendor relationships. Develops justifications for technological investments.
Manages partnerships related to technology services, fostering strong relationships with counterparts in partner organizations. Identifies and resolves issues arising from collaborations concerning IT. Oversees IT agreements and ensures partners meet service standards.

Supervises the implementation and effective use of applications, including electronic medical records, enterprise management systems, and clinical support systems.

Oversees the organization's IT security framework, disaster recovery plans, and IT policies, ensuring the security of the organization, its IT systems, and data.

Directs software development initiatives, promoting innovation while addressing customer needs and ensuring software is developed and implemented efficiently, securely, and scalably.

Develops and manages IT communication and training strategies, ensuring users are equipped with the knowledge and tools to effectively utilize available technology.

Salary Range:
$250,000 - $371,000
