Position Overview:
The Guest Services Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless experience for guests by managing check-ins and check-outs, processing transactions, and addressing inquiries. This position is vital for maintaining a welcoming atmosphere at the front desk, ensuring efficiency and satisfaction for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the registration process in line with established standards: warmly welcome guests, verify stay duration and room type, gather contact details and payment, and provide essential hotel information before directing guests to their accommodations.
  • Manage guest accounts during check-out, ensuring a friendly farewell, confirming payments, and soliciting feedback on their stay. Update guest profiles to enhance future service.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, whether in person or over the phone, utilizing a positive demeanor and clear communication. Respond promptly to guest requests and offer accurate information regarding hotel amenities and services.
  • Handle financial transactions, including cash management and processing various payment methods. Maintain an accurate cash drawer and perform arithmetic calculations as needed.
  • Collaborate with various departments to guarantee optimal guest experiences. This may involve liaising with housekeeping for room updates, engineering for maintenance issues, and sales for group inquiries.
  • Address guest complaints with thorough research to find effective solutions, remaining calm and composed during busy periods or emergencies. Utilize sound judgment to implement resolution strategies.
  • Perform duties across different roles, including Front Desk Agent, Reservations Agent, and Telephone Operator, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • Understanding of hospitality operations.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and remain active for up to 8 hours.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred; a bachelor’s degree is a plus. Previous hotel experience is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
