Position Summary:
IP Pathways is on the lookout for a skilled Infrastructure Systems Specialist to enhance our operations. This hybrid position is vital for our business, merging remote assistance with on-site duties at our data centers. As an Infrastructure Systems Specialist, you will manage support inquiries and service requests, delivering outstanding support to our clients while ensuring the efficient functioning of our data centers. This role provides the chance to engage with diverse technologies in a vibrant setting, directly influencing our clients' success and the effectiveness of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Address support inquiries and service requests, providing technical assistance to clients and internal teams. Ensure prompt and effective resolution of issues.
  • Data Center Management: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of IP Pathways' data centers to guarantee optimal performance and uptime.
  • Client Satisfaction: Strive to uphold a high standard of client satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and technical support.
  • Technical Guidance: Offer technical advice to clients, assisting them in optimizing their IT environments and addressing their unique requirements.
  • On-Call Duties: Engage in on-call rotations and escalations, being prepared to address critical issues as they emerge.
  • Proactive Solutions: Identify and resolve potential challenges before they affect operations, working proactively to sustain system performance and reliability.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate and current records of systems, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity across teams.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate both independently and as part of a team to foster continuous improvement in all facets of the role.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Proficiency:
    1-3 years of experience in supporting or implementing technology solutions.
    Proficient in Microsoft Windows Server, Windows OS, Mac OS, and mobile devices.
    Experience with Microsoft Server Solutions, including Exchange, DNS, DHCP, File Sharing, and SQL Server.
    Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Entra (Azure), and SharePoint is advantageous.
    Virtualization experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V.
    Basic networking knowledge, including understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.

Communication Skills:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying technical information clearly and professionally to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Problem-Solving Skills:

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with the capacity to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues proactively.

Adaptability and Multitasking:

  • Ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
    Willingness to adapt to evolving technologies and environments, with a commitment to continuous learning and growth.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or similar are beneficial.

Security Awareness:

  • Basic understanding of IT security principles and best practices to help maintain a secure infrastructure.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer and using office equipment.
    Occasionally lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds, such as servers, networking equipment, or other hardware.
    Ability to navigate data centers, including walking, bending, and reaching to access equipment, perform maintenance, or complete installations.
    Ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients, both in person and through digital communication.

Travel: Minimal travel may be required to other company locations or client sites as necessary.
