Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant II to serve as the receptionist and switchboard operator for the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services' Regional Administrative Services.

Key Responsibilities:

* Greet clients and visitors, answer general questions, and provide information about the department's services and policies.

* Answer and route calls, referring callers to appropriate staff members or resources as needed.

* Perform administrative tasks, such as typing correspondence, monitoring requests, and assigning work tasks, to support the Regional Administrative Services team.

* Sort and distribute incoming mail, and prepare outgoing mail for dispatch.

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.

* 1-2 years of experience in an administrative support role, preferably in a government or healthcare setting.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other standard agency computer hardware and software.

* Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 30 pounds, as needed.
