KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will immerse you in a world of innovation as a Salesforce leader.

You will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of custom Salesforce applications and solutions; collaborating with both business and user development teams to translate business needs into technical specifications; developing and configuring workflows, forms, and reports within the Salesforce platform; and conducting testing and quality assurance to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Your responsibilities will include customizing, developing, and utilizing the Salesforce application for complex programming projects.

You will tailor Salesforce applications to meet specific business requirements; work closely with stakeholders to gather insights and identify areas for enhancement; implement improvements based on feedback; and continuously explore new features and functionalities available on the Salesforce platform.


You will also provide incident resolution and troubleshooting support for Salesforce applications; promptly identify and resolve issues to minimize disruptions to business operations; collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve system incidents; and document solutions while maintaining an organized knowledge base.

This position will involve managing multiple programming projects and may include leading, mentoring, and training others.

- Keeping up-to-date with relevant knowledge necessary for essential job functions
- Attending work regularly in accordance with the agreed-upon schedule.

Telework arrangements are permitted based on the agency's approved Telework Plan, provided that operations and service levels are not adversely affected, and standard hours of operation are maintained.

Ensuring the security and confidentiality of sensitive information is paramount.

Compliance with all agency policies and procedures, including those related to ethics and integrity, is required.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Programmer IV

Education:
High school graduation or equivalent

Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; experience in related fields may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis: computer science, information technology, computer programming, data processing, or information systems

Experience:
Three years of experience in related fields: computer science, information technology, computer programming, data processing, or information systems

Experience and knowledge in building and maintaining custom platform applications, including the ability to apply that knowledge to the current state of business and technology and implement plans to achieve desired future states

Experience or working knowledge of modern cloud ecosystems, such as AWS.

Experience or working knowledge of integrating Salesforce with other systems using Mulesoft as middleware and modern cloud ecosystems

Experience working on projects utilizing an agile framework for software development

Knowledge of Agile methodologies and processes

Knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of computer programming and systems analysis; computer operations procedures and systems; and computer programming languages.


Skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, programming, hardware and software utilization, and software modification or development for applications.

Skills in managing multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines

Skills in effective communication

Skills in exercising sound judgment and making effective decisions


Ability to process information logically; design programs and systems logic; prepare program specifications; code, test, and debug software; interpret technical information related to programming and data processing; communicate effectively; and supervise the work of others.

Ability to work in person at a designated CAPPS, Inc. location when necessary, perform all assigned tasks at the designated workspace, and engage in in-person collaboration with coworkers (e.g., training, mentoring) as required.

Ability to work remotely as a manager-provided option, depending on work requirements and the needs of CAPPS, Inc.

Ability to arrange personal transportation for business-related travel, if necessary

Ability to work beyond 40 hours as needed and in compliance with the FLSA

Ability to lift and relocate 10 lbs.

Ability to travel up to 5%

Programmer V - All of the above, plus:

Experience:
Two additional years of experience in related fields: computer science, information technology, computer programming, data processing, or information systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with state government systems


Three or more years of experience in building and maintaining custom Salesforce applications, along with integration experience with MuleSoft and AWS ecosystems.

Degrees and education related to computer programming, test engineering, computer systems, and information technology.
