Overview:

Position:
Area Sales Manager


Oversee client accounts for a collection of hotels, ensuring guest satisfaction while pursuing both existing and new business opportunities to meet or surpass all revenue targets.

Potential Career Advancement:

Director of Sales – Area Director of Sales – Regional Director of Sales

Key Responsibilities:


Recruit, select, train, schedule, mentor, and support team members, ensuring adherence to established brand or hotel standards and alignment with HHM core values.

Enhance revenue by promoting all aspects of the hotel to former, current, and prospective clients.

Utilize effective sales strategies to negotiate optimal terms and conditions that fulfill customer (internal and external) needs.

Manage client accounts, ensuring all solicitation and closing processes are thorough and documented.

Coordinate the involvement of various departments in servicing client accounts.

Maintain strong relationships with key accounts to boost customer satisfaction and account revenue.

Develop and deliver compelling verbal sales presentations to potential clients.

Clearly communicate and leverage the advantages of the hotel to secure sales opportunities.

Conduct local travel for outside calls, promote the hotel, and analyze competitors.

Represent the hotel at industry trade shows.

Adhere to sustainability guidelines and practices in line with HHM's EarthView program.

Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Position Requirements:

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or a related field preferred.

Demonstrated success in sales is required, with prior experience in hospitality sales preferred.

Work Environment:

Work schedule may vary and could include occasional holidays and weekends.


Must be able to sit for extended periods, lift up to 10 pounds, bend, reach, and use hands and fingers to operate a keyboard.

Moderate travel between hotels and client locations is necessary.
