Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Operations Manager to oversee the cleaning and maintenance of our facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in our healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and participate in the overall sanitation and safety of the facility and associates in accordance with company standards and government regulations.
  • Determine cleaning assignments and establish priorities; adjust assignments based on changes in room occupancy or emergency clean-up requests; maintain accurate record of assignments.
  • Ensure security of keys and respond to customer needs and requests; resolve customer concerns.
  • Follow work procedures and expedites workflow to ensure timely, efficient service; communicate room completion and availability.
  • Inspect rooms, common areas and stock rooms, and approve staff work performance; perform or delegate appropriate corrective action.
  • Report unsafe conditions and maintenance service needs, including painting, repairs, and furniture replacement and upkeep.
  • Oversee the productivity and breaks of associates; communicate performance issues to management.
  • Participate in the onboarding and training of associates; conduct daily pre-service meetings.
  • Demonstrate safe and correct use of environmental services equipment and chemicals.
  • Complete inventory of materials, supplies and linens; manage usage and orders to in alignment with budget.
  • Open and close the department; maintain security for department property, supplies and operating funds.
Requirements:
  • Previous housekeeping and/or customer service experience and 1 year of previous supervisory experience are preferred but not required.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
