We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Housekeeping and Facilities Operations to join our team at Compass Group USA. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our housekeeping and facilities departments in a senior living setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Compliance and Regulatory Management: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal agencies, including the State Health Department, NFPA, and CMS, as well as all policies and procedures of the organization and client.
- Operational Planning and Control: Review, plan, organize, and control functions and activities of all support services under the scope of the contract.
- Program Development and Implementation: Develop, recommend, and implement new programs, services, policies, and procedures as necessary to enhance the desirability of the community for current and future residents.
- Communication and Liaison: Lead all aspects of departmental communications to all customers, including client, resident groups, regional leadership, and other stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance and Monitoring: Monitor the flow and quality of work to ensure timely completion of workload and adherence to communities' standards.
- Contractor and Supplier Management: Serve as a liaison with contractors, architects, engineers, and product suppliers to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Facilities Maintenance and Improvement: Maintain the department in an 'inspection ready' state at all times and implement changes to services that enhance the desirability of the community.
- Associate Development and Engagement: Encourage and cultivate associate creativity and innovation with all community programs and advise on structural changes and additions to buildings on property.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and develop the teams to ensure growth and development of the department.
- Certification: Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) certification is highly desirable.
- Experience: Five to seven years of responsibility at a director level in areas of housekeeping, plant operations, maintenance, in a healthcare setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CMMS Systems and Microsoft Suite, as well as technical knowledge of electric, plumbing, HVAC, and Life Safety Codes.
- Contract Management: Experience with Federal and State healthcare surveys, preferably in a long-term care setting.
