I. POSITION SUMMARY

Department: Base Supply Stores

Location: Various

Reports to: Manager and/or Assistant Manager

II. OBJECTIVE

To deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring customer recognition and satisfaction.

III. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None

IV. COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent communication skills are essential.

V. SUPERVISION REQUIRED

Daily oversight is necessary.

VI. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

A high school diploma is required, along with one year of relevant experience.

VII. TRAINING AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

Basic knowledge of retail operations and proficiency with computerized checkout systems is required.

VIII. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Interpersonal skills are crucial for interacting with customers, vendors, colleagues, and management. A team-oriented mindset is essential.

IX. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

No travel is required.

X. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage all customer service functions, emphasizing customer recognition and interaction as the most critical aspect.
  • Ensure accurate processing at the computerized checkout.
  • Request and identify materials from the warehouse and assist with shelf stocking.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the store, both inside and outside.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Manager and/or Assistant Manager.
XI. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee typically works in a moderate office environment. Regular activities include sitting, standing, walking, and using hands.
XII. WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate. Hearing protection may be necessary in specific areas.
