Position Overview:

The Brand Strategist is a pivotal, cross-functional role responsible for spearheading business planning (including pricing, budgeting, and forecasting) and overseeing the daily management (such as purchasing, tactical execution, and relationship oversight) of a designated portfolio of brands.


This position demands exceptional negotiation abilities and interpersonal skills to effectively manage brand and portfolio performance on both the supply and sales fronts. The Brand Strategist will report directly to the Senior Brand Director.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with the Palm Bay sales team and distributor network.
  • Lead strategic initiatives and activities for each assigned brand in collaboration with the sales and marketing teams.
  • Ensure effective execution of tactics and activities within national and local programs through close coordination with the sales team.
  • Provide recommendations for revenue enhancement through budget optimization while ensuring the growth of distribution and volume.
  • Identify efficiencies in promotional and operational expenditures to drive superior sales, profits, and cost performance alongside brand leads.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with suppliers.
  • Forecast and manage inventory levels effectively to align with market demand.
  • Develop launch plans for new products and portfolios, including programming, tactics, and tools in partnership with brand leads.
  • Collaborate with marketing and public relations to design, implement, and assess impactful brand programs.
  • Work with the pricing department to ensure optimal price positioning and resource allocation.
  • Promote and tailor company initiatives across the three-tiered distribution system.
  • Ensure adherence to brand and merchandising standards.
  • Provide product training and seminars for distributors, customers, and consumers.
  • Engage with key accounts and support Sales Managers and distributor sales teams.
  • Educate and inspire trade partners and customers by sharing the heritage and product knowledge of the Cavit portfolio.
  • Gather market insights and analyze data, providing actionable recommendations.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, along with 5-7 years of experience in the CPG or Wine industry. A solid understanding of the wine import sector is preferred.

A comprehensive grasp of the three-tiered distribution system and the regulatory aspects of the industry, with a focus on legal compliance, is highly desirable.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority, possess strong communication and collaboration skills, and effectively manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.

Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with enterprise planning systems such as Cognos and Sharepoint are essential.
