POSITION OVERVIEW

Event Hospitality Specialists play a crucial role in ensuring a high-quality and unforgettable experience for guests attending all City Winery events. This role may vary from part-time to full-time based on the event schedule and venue requirements, allowing our restaurant staff to remain engaged during periods when events occupy most of the dining area. Event Hospitality Specialists are responsible for the setup, presentation, execution, guest interaction, and disassembly of all private events hosted at City Winery. Duties may vary depending on the type of event, which can include weddings, corporate gatherings, exclusive dinners, private concerts, and more. We are currently looking for SEASONAL Event Hospitality Specialists for the upcoming months.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide exceptional guest service at all events, aiming to surpass guest expectations consistently.
  • Execute all assigned tasks related to the specific event, including setup, service delivery, and breakdown.
  • Serve food and beverages while addressing guest inquiries, requests, and needs.
  • Maintain table settings by clearing completed courses, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being attentive to guest needs at all times.
  • Adhere to City Winery's private event service protocols to ensure the execution of high-end events in line with our standards.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations, including the enforcement of laws regarding the handling and serving of alcoholic beverages.
  • Participate in training sessions, tastings, and meetings as required.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and guidelines, including punctuality, uniform standards, and maintaining a neat appearance.
  • Perform any other reasonably assigned duties.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • At least 1 year of experience as a banquet/event server or in a support role within a fast-paced, high-volume event environment is preferred.
  • Experience in a luxury, high-end event setting is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to consistently deliver high-quality guest experiences and create memorable moments at every City Winery visit.
  • Capability to provide professional service and engage with a diverse clientele with poise and hospitality.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to take initiative while working with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to foster positive relationships.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical capability to meet the demands of the role, including standing/walking for extended periods, bending, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
