POSITION OVERVIEW
As an Event Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a remarkable and enjoyable experience for our guests during various City Winery events. This position can be tailored to part-time or full-time hours based on our event schedule and venue requirements, providing flexibility for our staff during busy periods. Your responsibilities will encompass the preparation, presentation, execution, guest interaction, and dismantling of all private events hosted at City Winery. You will engage in a variety of events, including weddings, corporate gatherings, exclusive dinners, and private concerts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver outstanding guest service at all events, aiming to surpass guest expectations.
- Execute all assigned tasks related to the specific event, including setup, service, and breakdown.
- Serve food and beverages while addressing guest inquiries and requests.
- Maintain table settings by clearing completed courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling water glasses, while remaining attentive to guest needs.
- Adhere to City Winery's event service standards to ensure a high-quality experience.
- Comply with health and safety regulations, particularly in the management of alcoholic beverages.
- Participate in training sessions, tastings, and team meetings as required.
- Follow company policies and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a banquet or event server in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a luxury event setting is preferred.
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences and create memorable moments.
- Strong service skills and the ability to manage diverse clientele with professionalism.
- Capability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a high-pressure setting.
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation practices.
- Proactive approach with a strong sense of urgency and initiative.
- Attention to detail and effective communication skills.
- Aptitude for problem-solving and teamwork.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to perform the job requirements, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
