Field Engineering Specialist

- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 15 years' experience overseeing Large Heavy Civil Engineering projects.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience managing Major Construction Contracts.
- Valid California Class C driver's license is required.
- State of California Professional Engineering registration or the ability to obtain it within 6 months.
- Experience with Transit Projects, particularly those involving tunnels, underground stations, and track construction.
- Cal-OSHA/OSHA 30-Hour safety certification must be obtained prior to project initiation.
- Oversee Office Engineers, Construction Inspectors, and Administrative/Project Staff.
- Ensure compliance of contractors with project schedules, budgets, specifications, and legal standards. Address and resolve construction-related issues.
- Engage in progress meetings and provide comprehensive project status updates.
- Facilitate necessary design and field modifications.
- Review and assist in the preparation of contract change orders and modifications.
- Support contract change negotiations with the Contracting Officer.
- Enforce safety regulations and procedures to maintain high safety standards.
