APM Wayside Field Engineer

At Jacobs Engineering Group Inc, we are seeking an experienced APM Wayside Field Engineer to join our team. As an APM Wayside Field Engineer, you will serve as the Owner's Representative in the field and act as a liaison to the Developer on the APM's wayside systems.
Key Responsibilities- Review and monitor the Developer's resources, schedule progress, and reports.
- Ensure the Developer's compliance with design and construction requirements.
- Issue nonconformance notices if required and monitor construction progress, resolving all non-conformance notices.
- Review the Developer's construction work plans, RFIs, submittals, force account work tickets/extra work bills, and change order requests.
- Work proactively to anticipate and resolve issues such as changes in scope and slippage of schedules.
- Ensure that critical milestones are met for each phase of the project.
- Make recommendations to upper management as appropriate, for the resolution of major problems.
- Ensure the Developer's effective implementation of all policies and procedures, including labor relations policies.
- Ensure the use of sound construction practices to maintain jobsite safety and quality control.
- Monitor compliance verification and readiness testing for guideway mounted equipment and station equipment.
- Prepare periodic reports summarizing progress of construction activities for APM and LAMP management personnel.
- Familiarity with SharePoint and Prolog preferred.
- 5 to 7+ years of systems engineering and field experience supporting projects of similar size/scope/complexity is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to understand complicated interfaces, train control, wireless, radio, SCADA systems, and the ability to communicate progress to both technical and management level personnel.
- Capability to assume additional responsibilities.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex issues to a non-technical audience.
- B.S./B.A. in mechanical, electronic, or electrical engineering.
